As the fall semester approaches, we are excited about Week of Welcome (WOW) and are reaching out to our dedicated campus community to volunteer and help make this event truly memorable. Your participation not only helps our new students feel welcome but also demonstrates the supportive community that defines Marshall University. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with colleagues from different departments and to have some fun!
How to Volunteer:
If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up no later than Friday, August 12, using the following link: WOW Volunteer Sign-Up. You can choose shifts that fit your schedule and specify your preferred volunteer roles.
Additional Opportunities to Participate in WOW:
- Saturday WOW Carnival Table:
If your department is interested in setting up a table during the Saturday evening WOW Carnival, use the following link: WOW Carnival Table Request. We recommend having freebies such as candy or stickers to pass out. - Line the Sidewalk for the Convocation Walk:
Due to construction, Convocation has been moved from the Keith Albee to the Rec Center, and we hope to replicate the excitement the students experienced walking along 4th Avenue. We invite the campus community to line the main sidewalk on campus from the Memorial Fountain to the Rec Center on Friday, August 16, no later than 11 a.m.
