In all, 65 Doctor of Pharmacy degrees will be conferred. Ten students will move forward with graduate pharmacy residency training, with the remainder of the class pursuing career opportunities in retail, hospital and research fields.
Founding dean Kevin W. Yingling, R.Ph., M.D., will deliver the commencement address. A pharmacist and physician, Yingling has more than 30 years of experience in graduate medical and pharmacy education. He is also an associate professor of medicine and pharmacology and a former chairman of the department of internal medicine at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Yingling will retire from the dean position this summer.
