Marshall Health announces the following events scheduled for May 2018.

FREE SPORTS MEDICINE SCREENINGS
Saturdays, May 5, 12 and 19, 8 to 10 a.m.
Marshall Sports Medicine Institute
2211 Third Avenue, Huntington

Experienced sports medicine physicians and staff from the Marshall Sports Medicine Institute provide free evaluations and assessments on orthopaedic conditions or injuries and advise on next steps. Treatment is not provided during the evaluation. Clinics are open to athletes and active people of all ages. No appointment necessary. Imaging services are available at an additional cost during the fall season. Patients are seen on first-come, first-served basis.

7TH ANNUAL JOINTS JOG
Saturday, May 5, 2018, 9 a.m.
Barboursville Park

Marshall Orthopaedics hosts its annual 5K run and mile walk. Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by the race at 9 a.m. Participants may register up until race time. Registration fee for runners is $20 through April 30 and $25 after April 30. Registration is $10 for walkers. Trophies will be awarded for the first, second and third place males and females overall. All event proceeds will go to support Lily’s Place, a Huntington-based center that provides medical care to infants suffering from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS).
