Dear Students,
Open Enrollment for health care coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is currently being conducted. You must sign up by December 23, 2013 for coverage to start on January 1, 2014. Open Enrollment will end on March 31, 2014 for the Marketplace but will continue for Medicaid.
Students who file their own tax returns and earn less than $15,856 a year, or $1,320 a month, may qualify for Medicaid, coverage with no premiums, no deductibles and modest copays.
Students can enroll in the following ways:
- If you are a WV resident, enroll electronically at www.wvinroads.org.
- Students can enroll electronically at www.healthcare.gov.
- Students can enroll by phone by calling 800-318-2596.
Students will need their most recent W2 or pay stubs for a month. Students should enter their own personal data (ex. social security number, birthday) electronically and should not share any of their personal information with anyone.
