Students considering postgraduate education will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and advisors, connect with current students and learn more about programs that can help achieve their professional goals.
“It’s a perfect opportunity to get personalized information and advice,” said Dr. Carl Mummert, assistant provost for graduate studies. “The graduate expo is a chance for students to interact directly with their programs of interest to get personalized attention and advice about specific degrees and where they can lead.”
Currently, Marshall offers 65 graduate degrees and 35 graduate certificate programs available in both online and in-person class formats. Mummert says any student nearing graduation or any professional considering their next step should plan to attend.
“A graduate degree provides opportunities for career advancement, higher earning potential and increased opportunities,” said Mummert. “Graduate studies provide students with specialized knowledge and personal growth that will benefit them for the rest of their careers. Graduate degrees empower individuals to make valuable contributions to their professions and to society.”
The expo will be held in the Don Morris Room in the Memorial Student Center from 4 to 6 p.m. It begins with a keynote speaker who will address the importance of graduate studies, followed by a tabling event for students to speak with faculty and advisors to gain more information about graduate programs offered at Marshall.
The event is free and open to the public. Media are invited and encouraged to attend.
