CHH was recently recognized for the 11th time as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery by the Clinical Sciences Institute of Optum®, signifying that a hospital or health care institution has met rigorous standards and criteria in providing high-quality care for patients undergoing bariatric, or weight loss, surgery.

Corsello earned her medical degree from Ross University in Miramar, Florida. She completed her general surgery residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident, followed by a bariatric surgery fellowship at the Advent Health Bariatric and Metabolic Institute in Tampa, Florida.

Corsello serves as an assistant professor of surgery at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Her research focuses on improving best practices and identifying new approaches within the field of bariatrics to better serve patients and ensure they reach their goals of optimum health and well-being.
