The Marshall University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is ranked No. 93 nationwide in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 rankings, placing it in the top 36% of U.S. physical therapy programs. Over the past 9 years, the program has climbed more than 40 spots despite a growing number of physical therapy programs.
Additionally, Marshall’s DPT program ranks No. 24 nationally for first-time National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) pass rates for 2023-2024, the highest in West Virginia. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to advancing health professions and preparing graduates to impact Appalachia and beyond.
