About Kris
What is your major and year?
Junior at Marshall University, majoring in Advertising/Journalism/Public Relations.
How long have you worked with Marshall Online?
Since September 2024 but hope to be for the foreseeable future.
What is your favorite part of working with the Marshall Online Team?
I really enjoy how fast paced Marshall Online is, the different opportunities presented by the microcredentials, and getting to see blackboard “under the hood”.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
In a short time I have already utilized and become familiar with AI and Canva, both of which I had no experience with until joining the design team.
What might surprise us about you?
I run an appliance repair service.
What is your favorite part about Marshall University?
I really like how all of the departments are always asking for feedback and how to better serve the students.
What are your future plans for after you leave Marshall? If no plans yet, what would be your dream plan?
My dream plan would be to one day practice law. Education and personal injury are both appealing to me and in need of empathetic advocates.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A doctor or rockstar! Both sound exciting.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Singing, reading, and staying active.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Attitude is everything and you have to be the change you want to see in the world, it sounds cliché but most people aren’t living up to their own expectations and younger me was for sure one of those people!
