Meet Amber!

Amber Drennen is a Sophomore at Marshall University, majoring in BSN. Amber joined the Marshall Online as a student worker in October of 2022, since joining our team Amber has assisted the Design Center Team with a variety of projects and tasks.

What is your major and year?

Sophomore majoring in BSN.

How long have you worked with Marshall Online?

Since October 2022.

What is your favorite part of working with the Marshall Online Team?

Everyone is so nice and helpful. Very flexible with school as well.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I have gotten outside of my comfort zone with computer work as far as helping design courses and go through documents on excel and help sort things.

What might surprise us about you?

I want to work in as many states in the US as I can as a travel nurse.

What is your favorite part about Marshall University?

The atmosphere and it has brought me my absolute favorite people.

What are your future plans for after you leave Marshall? If no plans yet, what would be your dream plan?

After I leave Marshall I will work for CAMC in Charleston Wv as an RN, hopefully in NICU.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A nurse.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Reading lots!

What advice would you give your younger self?

Nothing is ever that serious.
