Biography

“Hey everyone, my name is Jordan Beer I’m currently a P4 student at Marshall University School of Pharmacy! Throughout my time here I reflect not just gratitude for the education and experiences I gained but also appreciation for the journey and growth it brought. Marshall Pharmacy School is a unique blend of rigorous academic learning, hands-on clinical training, and personal development. I immersed myself in the world of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and patient care, gaining insights that shape my future as a healthcare professional.

I’m originally from Martinsburg WV and what initially brought me to Marshall was the hands-on learning that the school believes wholeheartedly in. Little did I know that my education would become so much more than just me sitting in a classroom and doing patient simulations but also making a difference out in the community. My IPPE and APPE experiences not only prepared me for the responsibilities of a pharmacist but also offered valuable insights into different pharmacy career paths and practice environments while also giving back to the community. It was a time of growth, self-discovery, and professional development. Thanks to our wonderful experiential learning staff I was able to have numerous rotations within the pharmaceutical industry. This inevitably shaped my path into my future career as an Institutional Senior Regional Sales Representative with Viatris Inc..

Each moment at MUSOP, from the challenging exams to the rewarding patient interactions, contributed to my growth and prepared me for the responsibilities ahead. Reflecting on this journey with gratitude acknowledges the support of mentors, the camaraderie of classmates, and the opportunities for learning and self-discovery. It’s a reminder of the privilege of serving others through the practice of pharmacy and the impact you can make on individual lives and the healthcare system as a whole.

I am thankful for every advisor, mentor, and professor who has poured their time and energy into allowing us as a student body to succeed I am honored and proud to be a lifelong daughter of Marshall.”
