Marshall University will conduct a public hearing pursuant to W. Va. Code § 18B-19-10(3), on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, regarding the sale of real property to a private buyer. The sale price will be for an amount not less than the average of two independent appraisals that are underway. The parcels are described as follows:
that certain parcel of real property containing approximately 4.353 acres+/-, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 24th Street, Huntington, WV, and that certain parcel of real property containing approximately 3.169 acres+/-, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 24th Street, Huntington, WV, and recorded in Cabell County Deed Book 1412 beginning at page 678.
The Public Hearing will be conducted in the Shawkey Room of the Marshall University Memorial Student Center, 1680 5th Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interested persons may appear and present their views on the sale of the said properties. The Public Hearing may be continued to a subsequent date and time, and any update as to the Hearing will be posted on the University’s website page designated for Board of Governors information: https://www.marshall.edu/board/.
