At Marshall University, we understand the value diversity brings to our community. As a leader in promoting diversity and inclusion, we are proud to be the first university supplier diversity program in the state of West Virginia.
My commission on diversity, equality and inclusion serves to support the Marshall University Creed and embraces diversity and inclusion within our student body and faculty. It only makes sense that the same commitment applies when building a diverse supply base. That’s why we want to ensure all suppliers have the ability to compete in the purchasing process and do business with the university.
We are committed to making the supplier diversity program an integral part of the way we do business, consistent with our commitment to foster a diverse and inclusive university community. I have asked my leaders and the purchasing department to intensify our outreach and recruitment efforts to encourage supplier diversity when buying products and services for the university. I want to encourage everyone at Marshall University who shares our commitment to join us in developing the best diverse supply base in the state.
