Whether you are charging up for the day with a morning swim, relieving stress during midterms with a high intensity interval class, or relaxing with a yoga session, the Marshall Rec Center offers a variety of options to suit your individual, healthy lifestyle. There is something for everyone-whether it be personal training, group fitness classes, intramurals or an outdoor trip, the Rec has something for you. Being the largest on campus student employer, the Rec offers a wide selection of jobs for Marshall students where you will be a part of an inclusive community, develop skills, have a flexible schedule and be a part of a great team. Outdoor Pursuits

From climbing on the rock wall to equipment rental, let us take you on your next adventure!

The Aquatic Center features a leisure pool, 3 lap lanes, a vortex and a spa. Take your swim skills to the next level and check out our swim school and private swim lessons offered year round.

The Rec offers American Red Cross Certification Courses in CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguarding, and Instructor Certifications. Students, faculty, staff and the community are welcome to enroll in these classes.

Competitive Sports

Each year thousands of students participate in a variety of Intramural sports, leagues and divisions offered through the Marshall University Competitive Sports Program.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is easy in our facility, filled with a variety of equipment and a positive atmosphere. We offer personal training, classes and fitness testing.

The Rec is home to a variety of youth camps and programs for kids of all ages such as Healthy Herd Youth Camp and Kid’s Night Out. Kids always have a blast!

The Rec hosts a variety of community events, from our annual RecFest to our scholarship series. Sponsorship opportunities are available!
