ROTC Enrollment Options

If you’re interested in  learning what it takes to become an Army Officer, ROTC may be right for you.  In addition to teaching you valuable leadership skills, military training, and discipline, ROTC can also provide you with money for tuition and other expenses through scholarships or other tuition assistance programs.

In high school and interested in an Army ROTC scholarship, apply for the Four-Year Scholarship for high school students: ROTC Scholarship.

*Initial Application Deadline is 10 January. All updates are required to be postmarked by 28 February*

In college and interested in enrolling in the ROTC program, you can start by taking our MS 101 class. If you have at least two or more years remaining toward your undergraduate degree but not enough time to complete the Basic Course, you can attend the Advanced Course by completing the Cadet Summer Training Basic Course held at Fort Knox, Kentucky. (You will receive food, lodging and pay during this course!)

In the National Guard/Reserve, the Simultaneous Membership Program allows you to attend ROTC and serve in the U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard at the same time. It gives you an opportunity for additional training and experience. Cadets serve as Officer Trainees in their drilling unit while completing college. You can earn Reserve/Guard pay and benefits in addition to ROTC allowances.

Enlisted Soldiers, ROTC can help you continue to grow and learn. The Green to Gold Program is designed to offer enlisted Soldiers the opportunity to earn a commission and continue service as an Army Officer.

To Apply, you Must

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be between the ages of 17 and 26
