2025 Safety Conference

The Marshall University Research Corporation and Occupational Safety Program Advisory Board will host the 2025 Marshall Safety Conference on Thursday, May 1, at the Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall on Marshall’s Huntington campus.
Participants can hear from speakers in the occupational health and safety industry and have the opportunity to network with safety professionals from local industry and well-known national corporations.
There will be a pre-conference reception as part of the event on Wednesday, April 30. More information to follow.
“Our annual conference has grown over the years,” said James McIntosh, chair of Marshall’s Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. “Attendees include national speakers, local and corporate safety professionals, students, and alumni. The conference is sized and designed so that sessions cover current safety topics but also give attendees an opportunity to network and learn with other professionals as well as interact with students. What more would a professional want in a conference?”

The First Safety Conference Golf Tournament will be Wednesday, April 30 at Creekside Golf Course (400 Royal Birkdale Dr, Lavalette, WV 25535). Lunch will be provided starting at 11:00am and golf will start with a shotgun start at 12:00pm.
All proceeds of this year’s tournament will go toward scholarships for students in the
Occupational Safety and Health Program at Marshall University.
