Biography
Margaret McLaughlin, MSW, LCSW-LA, CSW-WV and KY, is an assistant professor for Marshall University’s Bachelor of Social Work program. She received her MSW from Louisiana State University and has practiced social work and been a social work educator for many years. She previously was the Director of a small Bachelor of Social Work Program before joining the faculty at Marshall. Her experience is in foster care, eating disorders, and mental health. She has presented professionally and in the community on a variety of topics and has been overseer of numerous student research studies. Her areas of research interests are trauma, grief, attachment, and international child welfare. She teaches Social Work Research, Social Work Senior Capstone, and Human Behavior.
