Gerald Sieber

Gerald sieber Gerald “Jerry” Sieber was a 24-year-old junior from Wildwood, N.J., and an Assistant Football Manager. With seniority he had priority on the team’s first away flight and was initially assigned to the East Carolina game. However, when given an opportunity to visit his girlfriend at Ohio State, he passed the assistant manager duties to Eugene Jones, who pleaded to go since he had never flown on a plane. Jones also had to bow out due to the death of his grandmother. This is a photo of Jerry on the sidelines with the 1970 team.

He was not on the airplane.
