The augmented reality (AR) sandbox is a dynamic, interactive, 3D educational tool designed to help understand and further knowledge of topography, mapping, natural hazards, watersheds, levees, and more!

The augmented reality (AR) sandbox uses a motion sensor via a Microsoft Kinect 3D camera, projector, and specialized computer software to map contour lines, which are then augmented in real time onto the sand as it adjusts to the elevation levels within the sandbox. The overall goal of the sandbox is to allow students to physically create topography models to allow for an engaging and exciting interactive experience

The Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization with over 200,000 active volunteers. They have more feet on the street, focused on climate change, “outside of the beltway”, outside of Washington, than any other environmental group. Citizen’s Climate Lobby is recognized by members of the Senate and the House as the organization making the most progress addressing the climate crisis globally.

Mark Tabbert will be here to talk about the solution options we have dealing with climate change, favored policy, and national legislative progress. There’s actually a lot of progress to talk about! Who knew that the largest caucus in the House today is the Conservative Climate Caucus with 70 plus members?
Learn about effective advocacy and the transformational advocacy that CCL uses that accounts for progress.

This film introduces audiences to the heroes and the villains behind one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues, from the extraction of fossil fuels to plastic disposal and the global resistance fighting back. A panel discussion will follow.
