REGISTER to join our Guided Tour of the Green Trail on Thursday, August 20th from 5-6PM.
Capri Billings, Sustainability Education Assistant, will take participants on a guided tour of Marshall University’s Green Trail. Enjoy the lush beauty of our gardens and learn about the many sustainable initiatives across campus.
Participants in the Guided Tour must REGISTER BELOW, and arrive by 4:50pm @ the Memorial Student Center Plaza.
The Marshall University Green Trail project is funded in part by a grant through the Dunn Foundation, and is a collaborative effort between multiple departments, faculty, staff and students, including: College of Science, Environmental Health and Safety, Housing and Residence Services, Physical Plant, and the Sustainability Department. Its purpose is to educate both our campus community and the greater Huntington community on how Marshall is growing more sustainable, more “green”. Over 18 destinations have been added along the trail, each signifying an important aspect of Marshall’s sustainability efforts. As we grow “greener”, more destinations will be added, expanding our Green Trail. New trail signs will be installed during the fall semester.
The Green Trail and the Guided Tour are just a couple of the many projects of the Marshall University Sustainability Department. For more information, visit www.marshall.edu/sustainability, www.marshall.edu/greentrail, and www.marshall.edu/musustainabilitygardens.
