HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WMUL-FM) — This Saturday, April 12th, you will see Marshall’s campus flooded with prospective students excited for their next four, or more, years here in Huntington.
Green and White Day is a recruitment and admission event where prospective Marshall students can speak with over 100 campus representatives that can explain and relay information regarding financial aid, majors, clubs, and more.
“Green and White Day is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to come and learn more about what Marshall has to offer,” Lisa Williamson, Director of Orientation, Outreach, and Special Events said.
Current Marshall students refer to their Green and White Day experiences, and how it made them feel they are continuing in the correct place.

Current Marshall Freshman, Te’Lyn Napier, said “Green and White Day was the moment I felt completely at peace with my decision to choose MU. It was a long day, but the campus energy and sense of community confirmed I was exactly where I was meant to be. I learned that there is truly a place for everyone, no matter what your background!”
“A place for everyone” can be found. At Green and White Day, there are several rows of tables lined with a variety of subjects to ensure interest in at least one thing; aviation, radio, cyber security, military, education, and more.
To boost “Marshall Pride,” you will also see a few Marshall cheerleaders walking around to take photos and answer any questions student-to-student. There are also several photo opportunities and complimentary goodies at each table.
Williamson emphasizes that Green and White Days are a “one-stop-shop” for further steps. Already admitted students can register for orientation, apply for housing, and speak with any representative they feel necessary.
To open the communication and let students weigh any options, there will be a panel discussion with current students.
Also for those in attendance, Marshall Athletics will be giving out free tickets for the Spring Football game.
