HUNTINGTON, WV Students from WMUL-FM were in Charleston on October 21, 2015 to cover President Obama’s visit.
The President was in Charleston Wednesday to discuss the growing drug epidemic in West Virginia, as well as across the United States.
“More Americans now die every year from drug overdoses than they do from automobile accidents,” President Obama said. “This is an illness. We have to treat it as such and we have to change our mindset.”
The students representing WMUL-FM were Lexi Browning, Braxton Crisp, Aundrea Horsley, and Adam Rogers.
The event was held at the East End Family Resource Center in Charleston Wednesday afternoon. WMUL-FM aired the event live, included clips in the Wednesday evening news broadcast, and will be making a news package about the event.
