Notice of Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Application
Region I Planning & Development Council is obtaining citizen input, public comments, and opinions on a Business Inventory Mapping Project. The project will map existing businesses in Clay, Lincoln, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Summers, and Webster counties.
In total, the project will benefit approximately 93,701 residents by providing accurate counts and locations of businesses in the event of flooding. Region I Planning & Development Council intends to apply for $250,000 in funding from the HUD Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Regional and Local Planning Grant Program which has $2,107,625 available for eligible applicants in four HUD MID Counties and eight State MID Counties in West Virginia. Interested citizens are urged to comment.
